Chhattisgarh Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the state of Chhattisgarh concluded with phase 3 polling on Tuesday, May 07, which saw a total voter turnout of 71.06 per cent, which is lower than phase 2, which saw 76.24 per cent voter turnout. The percentage in phase 1 was also very low, with just 68.29 per cent, taking the final voter turnout per cent of the state to 71.86 per cent. The final results of all the 11 seats of the state are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, June 4, as per the official announcement made by ECI.
Chhattisgarh is one of the key states when it comes to Lok Sabha polls. The state, which is ruled by the BJP government, has 11 Lok Sabha seats in its kitty.
Chhattisgarh is vital to the national narratives of both Congress and BJP. The difficulty for the BJP, which holds nine Lok Sabha seats in the state, is to hold onto its current position of power in the Centre. Congress, on the other hand, plans to reclaim these seats and establish itself as a formidable opposition in the upcoming mega elections.
The national campaigns of both these parties would benefit greatly from a strong showing in Chhattisgarh Lok Sabha Elections.
The 2024 General elections in Chhattisgarh is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of the electoral period with the official dates being April 19, April 26 and May 7, i.e., phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3.

Phase 3: Date of polling- May 7
The state of Chhattisgarh, witnessed the General Elections of their state being contested in three phases in both 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha Elections and ECI, going by the conventional path, once again in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls has decided to hold the elections in the state in three phases.
The state of Chhattisgarh ranks 17th overall in number of Lok Sabha seats in India with 11 seats under their belt, out of which four seats are reserved for ST candidates, while one seat is reserved for SC candidate. During the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP registered a landslide victory in the state’s Lok Sabha polls, by winning nine seats, leaving INC with only two seats.

BJP and INC will once again be seen as the top two contenders for winning the majority because of their history in the state, and are unlikely to share seats with other parties of their alliances in the upcoming elections, despite battling the elections under the banner of NDA and I.N.D.I.A alliance, respectively.
