‘22-plus years of hard work’: video of Diljit Dosanjh’s old performance viral amid Dil-Luminati tour

Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been dominating the global music industry with his concerts across continents. On October 26, he kicked off his Dil-Luminati concert and performed at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi over the weekend. Amid the buzz it created on social media, an old video of Dosanjh performing at a cultural event in Punjab is doing the rounds.

The viral video shows the transition of the Lover singer Dosanjh’s note-worthy career and fashion over the years. The fan-edited clip opens up with the singer performing at a small event. Wearing a Punjabi tamba and kurta, Dosanjh dances around on the stage. The video then transitions and shows Dosanjh taking over the global audience with his performances.

Sharing the video, an Instagram handle wrote, “Punjabi Delhi aagye oyeeee.”

With over a million views, the video has received a lot of love from Dosanjh’s fans. One of them wrote, “22+ years of hardwork. still people say he reached this stardom overnight.” Another fan commented, “He wasn’t lying when he said Badi lambi success di story ni.”

“Hardwork, hunger, humility personified,” a third fan wrote. “He deserves every bit of it and even more,” another fan commented.

Meanwhile, an X user highlighted the mismanagement at Dosanjh’s concert in Delhi. He claimed that he splurged Rs 15,000 for the Gold Pit tickets but was left disappointed. He also wrote that a major fight broke out between the crowd and the organisers, leading to the total shutdown of the beverage counter. Concertgoers had no access to water or drinks after 9 pm.

Diljit Dosanjh is scheduled to perform in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Indore.
