Several celebrities, including Rihanna, Ananya Panday, Dua Lipa, and others, have flaunted the furry, snaggle-toothed gremlins. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has now hopped onto the bandwagon, which broke the internet on Tuesday.
In a new video, shared by Big B, the actor was seen flaunting a Labubu hanging from his car’s mirror. “Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the Labubu. Now in my car. Hi there! Labubu. Bye. See you tomorrow,” Bachchan said in the video.

The video quickly gained traction, garnering a sea of reactions. “Sir, labubu ke saath hanuman chalisa is Zaroori,” a user wrote. “Amitabh Bachchan Sirji: Its seems to be very early morning time, driving with #Labubu might be gifted by one of the Little master contestant as Love from their heart.. nice to have hanging over deskboard in front of windshield.. #efvijayshah Regards and Respect,” another user commented.
“Sir I have the same Labubu. Same pinch,” a third fan wrote. “Throw it away, Sir,” a fourth user commented.
Created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung as a part of his imaginative series The Monster, Labubu is inspired by Nordic folklore. The collectible came to the toy industry in 2019 through a collaboration with the Chinese toy brand Pop Mart. According to Forbes, Labubu dolls cost around $20 to $30, and are sold in “blind boxes,” where buyers only discover which design they have received after unboxing, triggering a trend on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Followed by the global craze, Wang Ning, CEO of Pop Mart International Group, became one of China’s 10 richest individuals, according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires List. His net worth is now estimated at a staggering $22.7 billion, primarily due to his stake in Pop Mart.
