Canon India holds contests to celebrate World Photography Day

On the occasion of World Photography Day, Canon India promoted the culture of photography by indulging photography enthusiasts, school children and hobbyists.

Canon India organised an inter-school online photography contest across 60 selected schools from August 10 to August 16 with the help of EOS academy. During the event, Canon India gave away its latest IXUS 275HS compact camera as wel as Selphy CP1000 compact photo printer.

Canon also conducted a photography contest encouraging employees to go out and shoot on a theme ‘Colours’. The grand prize was Canon’s budget DSLR, EOS 1200D.

“Canon celebrates the day as a recognition of photography and photographer, which manifests the importance of quality imaging solutions in today’s visually creative world. We are hopeful to make photography experience endeavoring, engaging and exciting,” said Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO – Canon India.

Canon also organised workshops for photgraphy associations and institutes across the country.
