The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League has seen an explosive display of batting with the bat dominating the ball once again. The tournament kicked off with a high-octane clash between KKR and RCB. So far, in just 25 matches, the campaign has already witnessed 450 sixes.

Here are the top six hitters of IPL 2025: 

Nicholas Pooran, LSG (31)

Nicholas Pooran has confirmed his status as one of the most exciting batting talents in the modern game. He has been the key player with the bat for LSG, smashing 349 runs in just six innings with a strike rate of 215.43 after the clash against Gujarat Titans). The current Orange Cap holder Pooran also has the record for most maximums in IPL 2025 with 24 sixes against his name before the game against Gujarat and then slamming seven more sixers today as he guided LSG’s chase of 181). LSG’s Rs 21 crore retention is proving to be worth every penny, as the 29-year-old batsman with an average of 72 is the most reliable asset in middle order.

Mitchell Marsh, LSG (15)

 The Australian veteran’s expertise in hitting the ball over the boundary ropes with ease makes him a vital element of LSG’s campaign. In terms of runs and striking power,  Marsh is not far behind Pooran. With his aggressive strokeplay, the opener has scored 265 runs in 5 innings, including 15 big hits. He had helped LSG register a win over KKR by scoring 81 runs off 48 balls.

Shreyas Iyer, PBKS (14)

Iyer began his journey in the Punjab Kings jersey with an unbeaten 97 off 42 deliveries, including nine gigantic sixes. With 14 sixes in four innings, he has displayed his ability to accelerate the innings and provide impetus at crucial junctures. The skipper’s stats validated his approach to play aggressive and lead from front as the former KKR captain scored 168 runs in four innings with an impressive average of 84, thus giving PBKS renewed hope of finally breaking their trophy drought. 

Ajinkya Rahane, KKR (13)

While the reigning IPL champions have had a rough start to the campaign, Rahane has displayed his explosive batting by smashing 13 tremendous hits in just five innings showcasing his potential in this format. His highest score of 61 runs against LSG and his recent unbeaten 20-run knock against CSK made sure that their rivals tasted their biggest defeat in IPL history in terms of balls remaining.

# Aniket Verma, SRH (12)

The 23-year-old from Uttar Pradesh is a hard-hitting batter and has emerged as a rising star for SRH. The young player has made his intentions clear to play dominating cricket. His highest score this season came against Delhi Capitals: a thrilling 74-run knock off of 41 balls. The youngster hit six sixes, albeit in a losing cause in Visakhapatnam.
