PM admits failure by promising to revive economy: BJP

The BJP termed the PM's claim to revive the economy in 100 days as an ‘admission’ of the Govt’s failure and asked him to explain as to why the economy was allowed to deteriorate.

The BJP termed the Prime Minister’s claim to revive the economy in 100 days as an “admission” of the government’s failure and asked him to explain as to why the economy was allowed to deteriorate in the first place.

“Congress and the Prime Minister must first explain why it allowed the economy to deteriorate for 1,826 days (during UPA rule) before making a false promise of reviving the economy in 100 days,” BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told reporters in New Delhi.

He said “the slogan of 100 days is an admission of utter failure of the UPA government on the economic front. The government touted itself as having three economic wizards in Manmohan Singh,P Chidambaran and Montek Singh Ahluwalia…the country witnessed the all-out failure of this economic trio.”
