BJP and Congress workers clashed today in Nasirpur in west Delhi after supporters of the saffron party alleged that the constituency MP Mahabal Mishra has misappropriated funds worth crores of rupees.
BJP supporters showed black flags and shouted slogans against Mishra at a function organised to plant saplings as part of a city-wide Government drive.
Following slogans by BJP workers,Congress cadres also raised their voices leading to a clash between the two groups.
Delhi Health Minister A K Walia,local BJP MLA Pradyuman Rajput and top government officials were present at the function.
Police intervened and brought the situation under control. BJP cadres alleged that Mishra has misappropriated crores of ruppees in carrying out developmental activities in the area.
