Students of an engineering college here resorted to stone pelting today due to “poor” salaries being offered by those coming on campus for recruitment.
Students of RK Goel Engineering college clashed with the management today and damaged two college buses and window panes of the college building.
They complained that the companies coming to campus for placement are offering paltry salaries of Rs 3,000 to 5,000 and termed it as an insult.
Police intervened in the matter and prevented aggrieved students from further damaging the college building.
Students alleged that huge amount of money was taken from them at the time of admission,promising good job offers.
