A Calicut-bound Air India flight from Dubai was diverted to Mumbai today after a passenger allegedly ‘misbehaved’ with a woman passenger on-board.
“The passenger was unruly and misbehaved with a female passenger who was sitting next to him in the aircraft. So the pilot decided to divert the flight to Mumbai in the interest of passengers’ safety,” an Air India spokesperson told PTI here.
When the flight IC-537 landed at Mumbai International
Airport at 6.15 pm,crew handed over the accused to the CISF authorities,” the spokeperson said.
The flight left for its destination–Calicut– at around
7.20 pm,he said.
No case has been registered in this connection so far,
Sahar Airport Police officials said.
