NIA questions Joshi niece on Pragya visit

A team of NIA,which is probing alleged acts of Hindu terror, visited Joshi’s house in Vikasnagar.

Chanchal Joshi, the niece of former RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi, has shared with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) details of Malegaon blast accused Pragya Singh’s visit to her home after his murder.

A team of NIA,which is probing alleged acts of Hindu terror, visited Joshi’s house in Vikasnagar on Tuesday. The 19-year-old told The Indian Express that the team spoke to her for 15-20 minutes.

Pragya had visited Joshi’s house immediately after his murder on December 29,2007 and taken away a suitcase without telling family members that he was dead. The team also asked her about the usual visitors to the home.

Meanwhile, the CBI on Wednesday questioned BJP councillor Ramcharan Patel and RSS activist Vasudev Parmar in Dewas sub-jail.

The two accused in the Joshi murder case have been sent in judicial custody after their police remand was over.

The CBI had moved an application in the court of JMFC Padmesh Shah seeking permission to question Patel,Parmar and Anand Raj Kataria. Following permission, the CBI team visited the sub-jail and questioned the two separately.
