Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama has put his weight behind the plan to set up a new unified Buddhist body that has for the first time brought the three strands of Buddhism Theravada,Bodhisattvayana and Vajrayana on a common platform.
Speaking at the valedictory session of the four day Global Buddhist Congregation in the Capital,the leader has said that the three strands are not very different and have common values that should be followed by all Buddhists.
