A 26-year-old died on Sunday afternoon four days after he was brutally beaten up by a group of people in a a village in Kozhikode district of Kerala over an alleged affair.
While Abdurahiman,52,has been arrested,search is on for 14 others allegedly involved in the attack.
Kozhikode Superintendent of Police (rural) Neeraj Gupta said Thalery Shaheed was believed to be in a relationship with a woman whose husband stayed in the Gulf,and villagers had warned him against it.
Shaheed also used to stay in the Gulf earlier.
Shaheeds family has told the police Shaheed was tied to an electric post and beaten,and that they were not allowed to come to his help as he lay bleeding for nearly two hours on the road.
