Pakistan today accepted Indias request to allow an Indian commission to visit Pakistan in connection with the 26/11 attacks probe.
At the meeting between the home secretaries which ended here today,the Pakistani side said that voice samples of the alleged plotters can be provided to India only if the Lahore High Court sets aside the decision of a lower court which had rejected a plea in this regard.
Sources said an NIA team would be sent to Pakistan; the modalities of the visit will,however,be worked out in the next two months.
It was also decided that the dates for the visit of a judicial commission from Pakistan in connection with the Mumbai attack trial would be conveyed by India before May 15. An Indian judicial officer will preside over the commissions proceedings.
Another key decision was to set up a hotline between New Delhi and Islamabad to share real-time information about militants.
India told Pakistan that as already decided,it would provide information about the Samjhauta probe after filing a chargesheet in court.
The two sides decided to revive the Indo-Pak Judicial Commission,and have its next meeting in Pakistan from April 19-23.
While India raised the issue of Pak-trained militants in Kashmir,Lashkar-e-Toiba founder Hafiz Saeeds anti-India statements and the handing over of Dawood Ibrahim,Pakistan again raised Balochistan.
The joint statement said both sides would work on revising the bilateral visa agreement. A proposal to relax norms for journalists,businessmen,senior citizens and patients will be examined.
