MUMBAI, Jan 12: Kunal Vaswani and Shalaka Damle each earned a double in the Badminton For You Open college badminton tournament sponsored by S Kumar’s at the Sachivalay Gymkhana on Sunday.
Vaswani won the boys’ doubles with Harshad Tawade, defeating Bhushan Paithankar and Rohan Radhakrishnan 15-13, 15-6. In the mixed doubles, Vaswani teamed up with Damle to beat Tawade and Pooja Kotwani 15-3, 11-15, 15-3. Damle, with Sampad Pai, defeated Neha Gangoli-Kotwani combination 15-11, 13-15, 15-4.
Other results: BFY singles: 1 Apeksha Gupta, 2 BV Rao. Doubles: 1 Mayank Seksaria/Vedang Pittie; 2 Shehzad Maloobhai/Alok Mathar.
