NEW DELHI, January 9: The CBI today said in the Delhi High Court that Janata Party president Subramaniam Swamy had committed "a fraud on the court" by changing material facts in the copy of the original complaint filed against finance minister P Chidambaram.
Attorney general Ashok Desai submitted before Justice A K Srivastava that "it was not a question of mistake but addition of materials which were not there in the original complaint subsequent to its dismissal by the special judge." Swamy then sought time from the court to explain "the improvements made in the copy of the complaint".
