Orissa Steelers proved their dominance by outplaying Chennai Veerans 5-1 in the Premier Hockey League match played here tonight.

Roshan Minz scored the first goal after a counter-attack by the Steelers. Sameer Dad then pumped in another in the 14th minute, deflecting a cross from Bimal Lakra. Skipper Dilip Tirkey increased the tally in the 9th minute of the second quarter.

Later in the quarter, Dad had only to tap the ball inside with a gentle push as much of the spadework was done by the Pakistan’s Adnan Zakir. Vikram Kanth finally managed to get one back when he converted a penalty corner.

Bruno Lugun scored the fifth one for Steelers that came between the legs of the goalkeeper in the fourth and final quarter.
