Sri Lanka has offered to play a charity match with an Indian cricket team to raise money for the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) chairman Arjuna Ranatunga has spoken to chief Sharad Pawar and has proposed a charity match for the benefit of terror victims.

“I have spoken to Pawar and have offered our unconditional support to the BCCI. The SLC condemns the terror attacks. We are ready to a play a charity match in aid of all those who have been affected”, Ranatunga said.

“We are ready to send a full-strength team for the purpose. The SLC wants to help in their own humble way”, he added.

Meanwhile, cricket bosses of Asian countries will meet here on Friday to discuss the impact of the Mumbai terror attacks on the sub-continent’s cricketing calendar.
