The director of Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), Pratap Reddy, was sacked by the institute chairman V. Kurien following complaints of alleged irregularities, IRMA sources said on Friday. Reddy has filed a petition in the Gujarat High Court, challenging his termination order.
The court has adjourned hearing on the matter till April 13.

The directorship of IRMA has been temporarily handed over to L.K. Vasvani, sources said in Vadodara, adding Reddy’s services were terminated on Thursday. Reddy and several other directors had questioned Kurien’s lifelong chairmanship. Kurien was not available for comment. —PTI
