* Nelson is set to host its first ever ODI match when the West Indies cruise into New Zealand in December-January for three Tests,five ODIs and two T20s. The Saxton Oval in Nelson,which will host three matches in the 2015 Cricket World Cup,will host the fourth ODI of a five match series on 4th January next year. The West Indies’ begin their tour with 3 Tests in Dunedin,Wellington and Hamilton,followed by the 5 ODIs and 2 T20s.

Cummins injured again

* Young Australia fast bowler Pat Cummins has suffered a new setback to his injury-plagued cricket career,quitting the Australia A team’s tour of South Africa with back pain. The 20-year-old Cummins has missed the last two Australian domestic seasons with back and foot injuries and has played only six first class matches in three years. Australia A physiotherapist Kevin Sims said Cummins had reported rib and back pain during Australia’s game against India A and had returned home for assessment.
