A good night’s sleep may be beneficial for a person who is facing difficulty dealing with tough questions,a new research has suggested.

Experts at Lancaster University have said that if people are struggling for an answer, the best thing is to go to bed and get a decent amount of rest, the Daily Express reported.

The study tested whether sleep or time spent awake worked best in finding answers to a range of tasks.

Participants attempted easy and difficult verbal problems and, after 12 or 24 hours including sleep,or 12 hours awake, returned to the questions that were unsolved as well as some new problems.

The study found that the sleeping group solved more previously unsolved difficult problems than the group that had stayed awake.

The study is published in the journal Memory and Cognition.
