Temple priest strangled
A priest was strangulated in a temple in Batola village near Old Faridabad on Monday evening. According to the police, villager Bhulli was angry with priest Sureshanand because the latter used to smoke marijuana with his son. On Monday, Bhulli went to the temple and beat up the priest before allegedly strangulating him, the police said.

Three held for prostitution
The Mongolpuri police have arrested three persons on charge of running a prostitution racket from Sector 3 in Rohini on Monday evening. Sahida Shekh alias Sonu Thakur, 22, was a resident of Mumbai and had come to Delhi a couple of days ago. She was staying with Anupama in Rohini. Karan alias Dabbu was the pimp handling their deals. A decoy customer struck a deal with Sahida, paying her Rs 4,000. After the transaction, the police caught the three.

Factory burgled
A leather factory on the Najafgarh Road was burgled on Monday night. A couple of men entered R.K. Tanwar’s dyeing unit late at night and decamped with goods worth approximately Rs 1 lakh.

Man robbed
A resident of H-628 Palam Vihar was robbed of his gold chain, ring and Rs 1,200 last night. Rakesh Kumar was returning home via airport road, when his car was stopped by four men. The men first threatened him and then robbed him. A case of robbery has been registered with the Najafgarh police.
