Nathani, Rhea qualify for Grand Finals

MUMBAI, JANUARY 31: Talented youngsters Junaid Nathani and Rhea Bhandare (both from Mumbai) have qualified for the Grand Final in the boys and girls (under-19) sections respectively for the Air India-SRAM Junior Squash Championship to be held at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) from February 4-7.

Nathani has qualified, with 24 points from four qualifying tournaments, behind Mihir Kapoor (64 points) while Rhea, with 20 points, is in fifth place behind Deepali Anvekar (48 points), Priyanka Yadav (40), Supriya Balsekar (36) and Tachita Vora (28), a Squash Racquets Association of Maharashtra (SRAM) release said.

The following have qualified for the Grand Finals

Boys under-19: Mihir Kapoor (64 points), Junaid Nathani (24), Taran Machara (28), Rohan Gracias (16), Rahul Lall (16), Bikram Uberoi (12), Sachin Obaid, Vijay Yadav (8 each).

Under-17: Vishal Kapoor (48), Sahil Vora (40), Mihir Sheth (32), Supreet Singh (32), Deepak Yadav and Kabir Kapoor (24 each), Bipin Batra (18), Anurag Gill (14).

Under-15: Rishabh Singhvi (44), Vikas Jangra (42), Aditya Manjrekar (28), Yogin Thakur, Karanpal Sethi (24 each), Rushabh Vora (18), Ritesh Sharma (12), Dhiraj Nagpal (10).

Under-13: Sandeep Jangra (64), Nikhil Seth (48), Jay Bhagat (32), Manek Mathur (20), Naishad Lalwani (16), Harsh Sethi (12), Manoj Dhoria, Sarvesh Chauhan (10 each).

Under-11: Vikram Malhotra (64), Vir Seth (44), Ishaan Balwani (32), Anup Sharma (28), Jai Dalal (12), Nitin Chauhan, Pranav Udani, Varun Dattani (all with 10 points each).

Girls (under-19): Deepali Anvekar (48), Priyanka Yadav (40), Supriya Balsekar (36), Rachita Vora (28), Rhea Bhandare (20), Shaila Pundole, Kunika Premnarayan, Anaita Dhallal (all with 10 each).

Under-15: Alisha Mashruwalla (64), Liana Deboo (36), Natasha Lall (24), Satchi Mehta (16), Shailee Shelke (12), Nikita Emanuel, Natasha Sabarwal (eight each).
