PUNE, June 2: We, the residents living in the vicinity of the Residency Club and a cafe named Rendezvous located near the signal of Bund Garden Road, are facing the problem of noise pollution for the last few years.
The Residency Club and Cafe Rendezvous host a lot of parties. We residents share their pleasure. But when people retire to bed at 10 p.m., after a hard day’s work, they are disturbed by the sudden and incessant bursting of crackers, followed by loud music.
This is not a one-time occurence, but a regular scene. The noise not only disturbs our sleep but can prove harmful to infants. And during exams, the noise disturbs students.
Will the civic authorities and the owners of this places please fix the time limit at 10.30 p.m. for bursting crackers.
