The Haryana Government on Monday decided to merge 50 per cent of the Dearness Allowance of employees in the basic pay from April, on the pattern of the Centre. At present, employees get 59-per cent DA on the basic pay. The state Cabinet also decided to waive the condition for regularisation of ad hoc or daily wage employees that they should have been engaged before January 31, 1996. Further, dependents of deceased employees will be given jobs or Rs 2.5-lakh ex-gratia.
