DEC 23: Two senior coaches of the National Cricket Academy, Hanumant Singh and Vasu Paranjpe, both resigned on Saturday citing health reasons, sources informed here.
However a board official stated that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had not yet received their resignations.
Coming on the heels of the altercation between the two prima donnas of Indian cricket Raj Singh Dungarpur who is the chairman of the NCA and Sunil Gavaskar which resulted in the latter giving in his resignation, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has its hands full with controversy.
Even though the two senior coaches have apparently stated health reasons as the cause for their resignations, Friday’s fall out between Gavaskar and Dungarpur may have affected them also.
