This Saturday evening saw a colourful surprise roll out for the listeners of Big 92.7 FM. Hyundai and the radio station came together to celebrate Hyundai’s success of fastest 20 lakh cars roll out in India and this was marked by their campaign ‘Hyundai 20:20 Knock Out’. The activity created a buzz of sorts amongst city residents. To mark the occasion, Hyundai and Big FM also organised a ‘Carvan’ activity of four cars decorated with flowers and balloons running on the streets of Chandigarh, Amritsar, Patiala and Jalandhar. One Santro, an i10, an Accent and one Verna car took rounds of the city roads throughout the day. The ‘Carvan’ started its journey from Sector 17 in the morning and ended it at same place in the evening. Along the way listeners of Big FM could win lots of prizes by answering simple questions related to the cars and the ‘Carvan’ throughout the day. Big FM listeners were asked to answer questions related to this ‘Caravan’ like number of cars, colour of the cars etc. All the winners got prizes in the evening in Sector 17 where RJ Meenakshi and RJ Sachin were present with I-pods, MP 3 players and Nokia mobile phones. The lucky winners were given prizes at a colourful activity conducted in Sector 17. Similar activities were carried out in Amritsar, Patiala and Jalandhar.
Happy Anniversary!
It’s five today, and it calls for celebrations. It’s birthday time at Fun Republic and this Monday, December 1, the entire property will be decked up and decorated in style. The anniversary celebrations will be marked by a special morning screening of “Ghatochkach” at Fun Cinemas for the under-privileged children, and to add to the fun, rounds of pepsi and popcorn will be provided to the children during the interval. Following this, a painting competition will be organised by Saupin’s School and Fun Republic together. More than eight schools are expected to participate in the competition. The competition will be in two groups. Group A – Class 1 and 2 and Group B – Class 3, 4 and 5. The topics for the competition will be Me and My Family, Flowers with Butterflies, Children Flying Kites and Nature Scene. Woollen caps sponsored by Amartex along with the food sponsored by Kebabs & Kurries and Saupins School will be distributed by the Lady Governor to the underprivileged kids. In the evening, a 100 kg cake will be cut by the chief guest in the attrium of Fun Republic.
