A special court rejected Chandraswami’s application seeking permission to go abroad for a health check-up during the summer break.

On April 5, the godman, who was recently acquitted in the Lakhubhai Pathak case, had applied in the court of Special Judge Dinesh Dayal, saying he wanted to consult doctors in UK and France for treatment on compression of nerves.

Dayal turned down the application and noted that it had been rejected in the sessions court as well as the High Court on earlier occasions. The judge noted that the treatment could be availed in India. The court has fixed the matter for recording the statement of the accused on July 15.
