MUMBAI, JUNE 15: Ranjit Deshmukh, MPCC president, today expelled Pradeep Pawar from the party for six years for anti-party activities. Pawar, a Congressman from Nashik is contesting the Legislative Council elections as an Independent.
Party general secretary Gurunath Kulkarni said Pawar was asked to withdraw his nominations before June 10. However, he filed his papers without informing the party leadership amounting to indiscipline, he added.
