Congress remained unfazed by Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Ajit Singh’s decision to vote against the Government, maintaining that it has got enough numbers — both ‘visible and invisible’ — to smoothly sail through the trust vote.

“We had not counted much on him (Ajit Singh). He was negotiating with each and everybody. Finally, what he does can still be a different thing,” party media department chairman M Veerappa Moily said.

Asked to comment on Singh’s announcement that the three-MP RLD would vote against the confidence motion, Moily said, “we have enough numbers… visible and invisible numbers.”

Replying to another query, he dismissed as rumours the speculation that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would resign ahead of the trust vote on July 22.

“These are rumours created by all interested quarters,” he said.
