Nita Ambani delivered a virtual speech at the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) while sporting a timeless lavender Banarasi sari, weaving nine yards of elegance.

Reliance Foundation’s founder and chairwoman chose a Banarasi brocade sari that was handcrafted by master artisan Shri Iqbal Ahmad, according to information posted on Instagram by the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), which included images of Nita’s magnificent sari.

She looked stunning wearing the sari, a matching blouse, and some tasteful jewellery. It’s not surprising that she decided on a Banarasi sari, which is both opulent and classic. The beautiful rose-gold zari design on the gorgeous lavender weave “celebrates the centuries-old craftsmanship of Varanasi.”

Its elaborate construction, which incorporates barfi booti, koniya paisley designs, and traditional zari work, showcases the diversity of Indian artistic expression.

With a stacked pearl necklace, a set of elaborate stud earrings, and tiny, sparkling bangles, Nita accessorised her sophisticated sari. She had kohl-rimmed eyes, sculpted brows, a dab of blush, and mauve-pink lipstick for her natural makeup look. She added fresh flowers to her hair, tied in a bun.

The 59-year-old chose the Banarasi weave because it highlighted the variety of Indian artistry. At the meeting, she announced her resignation from the Reliance board to devote more time to building the charitable arm of the company.

“The Banarasi weave is one of the many regional art forms supported by RIL Foundation’s Swadesh, our humble initiative to preserve and promote India’s traditional arts and crafts,” the post read.

Bridal couturier Manish Malhotra also praised the look on the Instagram post in NMACC’s comments section. Meanwhile, a number of other followers filled the comments section with statements that Nita looked “graceful” and was an “epitome of elegance” in the sari.

Nita also stunned in gorgeous handcrafted Banarasi patola saris as she attended the US State Dinner at the White House in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US. The Reliance Foundation chairwoman had opted for a stunning, pink-toned traditional Gujarati double ikkat Patola sari.
