Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has recently expressed her admiration for Paris, a city she frequently visits for fashion weeks and brand collaborations.
When the actor was recently in the city for Louis Vuitton’s show, for which she is a brand ambassador, she shot a video for Vanity Fair France, and talked about her love for The City of Love.
“It;s always amazing to be in Paris. I think I’ve been very fortunate to come to this beautiful city for various things, but mostly fashion-related. We always try and stay back, you know—go to some cafés, do a little shopping, just walk around and take in the city,” Padukone said.
Beyond the glitz and glamour of luxury fashion, Paris is also about charming cafés, artistic streets, and timeless architecture. If you’re looking to experience the city like Deepika, here are some must-visit cafés and destinations to explore on your next trip.
1. Café de Flore
One of the most iconic cafés in Paris, Café de Flore in Saint-Germain-des-Prés has been a favorite of intellectuals and artists for decades. Order a classic café crème and a croissant while soaking in the quintessential Parisian atmosphere.
2. Angelina Paris
If you love rich, indulgent hot chocolate, Angelina is a must-visit. This historic tea room on Rue de Rivoli is famous for its thick, velvety chocolat chaud and exquisite pastries, including the iconic Mont-Blanc dessert.
3. Avenue Montaigne & Champs-Élysées
As a fashion icon, Deepika would undoubtedly appreciate Avenue Montaigne, home to luxury brands like Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton. For high-street fashion and flagship stores, Champs-Élysées is a must-visit.
4. The Louvre Museum
No visit to Paris is complete without a stop at The Louvre. Whether you’re admiring the Mona Lisa or the grand architecture, this is an essential Parisian experience.
5. Seine River Walks
Just as Deepika loves strolling through Paris, taking a leisurely walk along the Seine River offers breathtaking views of the city’s most iconic landmarks, from the Eiffel Tower to Notre-Dame Cathedral.
6. Montmartre & Sacré-Cœur
For an artistic and bohemian experience, Montmartre is a must. Walk up to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica for a stunning panoramic view of Paris.
7. The Eiffel Tower & Trocadéro Gardens
Of course, no Parisian itinerary is complete without visiting the Eiffel Tower. The best spot for a picture? Trocadéro Gardens, especially at sunrise or sunset.
