Before Nayab Singh Saini takes oath as Haryana chief minister, likely on October 15, officials are working to announce results of recruitment exams for nearly 25,000 posts. The job aspirants, who will be employed in various department, may be handed over the appointment letters soon after the new government is sworn in.
“As promised ahead of elections, the examination results for 25,000 posts will be released immediately, before I take oath as chief minister,” Saini said Friday.
In the run up to the Assembly elections, Saini had announced that results of recruitment examinations conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission were ready. However, after a complaint filed by the Congress, and citing the model code of conduct that was in place, the Election Commission in August barred the state from announcing the results till the elections were over. After this, Saini said that joining letters would be issued to the qualifying candidates before he takes oath as chief minister.
The new government is likely to be sworn in on October 15 at an event in Panchkula. Though the state government has issued an official letter mentioning the date and venue of the event, an aide of Saini told The Indian Express that they are still awaiting confirmation on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s availability.
Meanwhile, a senior CMO officer told The Indian Express that they are preparing the job letters that will be issued to 25,000 aspirants who have cleared the recruitment exam. The posts pertain to junior engineers, clerks, excise and taxation inspectors, auditors, assistant managers, patwaris and constables.
