Two security men injured in encounter with militants in Poonch

Two security personnel have been injured in an encounter with militants in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir,sources said on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip off about the presence of a group of militants in Sanie-Top area of Surankote tehsil,troops and police launched a cordon and search operation on Monday night,sources said.

Militants fired on the troops during the operation,resulting in an encounter in which two security persons,including a Special Police official,were injured,they said adding that the rebels managed to escape.
