An incident of stone-pelting between two communities was reported in the Haldipokhar area of East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand Friday during a Ram Navami procession, police said.
Police said that a few people sustained minor injuries after which the procession was re-routed. Members of one community announced closure of markets in Haldipokhar area on April 1 as a mark of protest. East Singhbhum SSP Prabhat Kumar said: “Everything is peaceful and under control now.”
