Addressing a public meeting in Ranchi, Modi said, "We pledge to rein in corruption, fight for the rights of Muslim sisters and root out terrorism. Some corrupt people have already been put in their place (jail)."
The court had granted bail to Richa Bharti, who was arrested earlier for sharing an offensive social media post targeting Muslims, asking her to hand over a Quran to the local Anjuman Committee in the presence of police, and four more to different libraries.
Richa Bharti, a B.Com student, was arrested on July 12 after the Anjuman Committee filed a complaint against her at the Pithora Police Station for sharing an objectionable post on Facebook, which reportedly hurt religious sentiments.
Ranchi, Feb 19 (ANI): At least four Naxals were killed and two CRPF jawans were injured in an encounter in Taimara Ghati on the NH-33 in Ranchi on Friday morning. The injured jawans have been taken to a nearby hospital. The operation began on specific inputs around 9pm on Thursday night and ended on Friday morning.
Ranchi, Feb 10 (ANI): Local residents in Ranchi staged a protest against the school management of Sapphire International School over the death of a 13-year-old student, Vinay, who was found dead in school premises under mysterious circumstances. The irked protestors raised slogans against the school authority. One of the protestors said that six days have passed since Vinay's death, but no action has been taken by the police. They also stated that the police are trying to protect the culprits.
New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): A Border Security Force (BSF) plane on Tuesday morning crashed at Bagdola village in Sector 8, Dwarka in the national capital. The charter plane was a Ranchi-bound BSF Superking Aircraft having five to seven people onboard, a BSF source said. As per the Delhi Fire Department sources, 15 fire tenders have reached at the spot. More details awaited.
