Nine years of betrayal, distraction and marketing gimmicks: Cong on Modi govt

Marking the completion of nine years of the Modi government, the Congress asked nine questions to the government, released a 31-page booklet outlining the government’s alleged failures and announced its decision to do a media blitz over the next three days to drive home its point. The party will hold press conferences across 35 cities of the country over the weekend to attack the government.

And it was not just the Congress. The TMC, too, targeted the government. “Nine years of failed promises and disastrous policy decisions. Nine years. High on promises. Low on delivery,” TMC floor leader in Rajya Sabha Derek O’Brien tweeted.

“In the last 9 years, the Modi government has become a ‘vishwaguru’ in snatching away employment of crores of youths,” Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said. “The BJP built its edifice in 9 years on false promises and people’s suffering…Inflation, hatred and unemployment — Prime Minister ji, take responsibility for these failures of yours,” said senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a Twitter post.
