Earthquake again trends on Twitter as aftershocks hit Nepal, Delhi, and other cities

On Twitter, the hashtag Earthquake Again, started trending moments after the fresh tremors were felt in Nepal and other parts of India, including Delhi.

A powerful 6.7 magnitude aftershock hit Nepal again, and the tremors were felt in most parts of north and northeast India including New Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Siliguri and Assam. Minutes after the first aftershock, Nepal felt another measuring 5.0 in magnitude, according to news reports.

In Delhi, the Metro was suspended once again as aftershocks hit the capital. On Twitter, the hashtag Earthquake Again, started trending moments after the fresh tremors were felt.

The US Geological Survey says the aftershock on Sunday registered at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles). More than 1,900 people were killed in Nepal, at least 51 in India, 17 in Tibet and two in Bangladesh. Two Chinese citizens died at the Nepal-China border.
