Swine flu (H1N1 virus) claimed its first victim in Pune this month. Harish Chandra Lonkar,55,from Phursungi was admitted to KEM hospital on July 5. He tested positive for swine flu and died late on Tuesday night. Health officials said he was brought in with flu like symptoms but condition worsened due to morbid conditions like renal injury.
