The Enforcement Directorate Thursday summoned former Goa chief minister Digamber Kamat in connection with the Louis Berger bribery scam and quizzed the senior Congress leader at their Patto office for nearly eight hours between 10 am and 6 pm.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Pravin Pawar, Joint Director of Enforcement Directorate, said Kamat was questioned since the agency is probing his role in the scam.

He, however, refused to give further details.
In a brief interaction with the media, Kamat said ED officials questioned him on the basis of raids conducted at his residence last year.
Kamat had allegedly received a bribe to grant contracts for a sewerage and water project in the state, funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), when he was heading the Congress government in Goa.
