Govt approves Rs 24,475 cr subsidy on P&K fertilisers for rabi season

The Union Cabinet approved a proposal of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers for fixing the NBS rates for the rabi season.

The Centre on Wednesday approved the proposal of the Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) rates for Phosphatic and Potassic (P&K) fertilisers for rabi season for the period from October 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

As per an official statement, the tentative budgetary requirement for the NBS is estimated at Rs 24,475.53 crore during the rabi season 2024.
