With the imminent release of their upcoming romantic comedy Kushi, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are actively engaged in promoting the film, and it’s evident that their efforts are being warmly embraced by their fans.

Just a few days before the movie’s global premiere on September 1, the duo shared another endearing promotional video. In the clip, Vijay initiates a late-night video call with Samantha, who is currently in Los Angeles. While reclining on his bed, Vijay contacts Samantha, who seems to be sitting in a hallway.

Samantha answers the call and enquires if everything’s okay. He explains that he’s calling because he’s been missing her and playfully requests to share a knock-knock joke. Despite the clock striking 1.30 am in Los Angeles and being locked out of her room, Samantha eventually agrees to listen to the joke.

The knock-knock exchange commences with Vijay’s “Knock knock,” to which Sam responds with “Who’s there?” Vijay’s reply of “Na” prompts Sam to ask “Na who?” with a smile. The ‘joke’ concludes as Vijay serenades a visibly blushing Samantha with the song “Na Roja Nuvve.”

In a recent conversation with news agency ANI, Deverakonda expressed admiration for Samantha and spoke highly about their collaboration.

“The whole experience of shooting it will be a very fond memory for life. The relationships I’ve formed with Samantha and Shiva, are the two people I spent the most time with, and shared a lot of memories and highs and lows with. I will always enjoy thinking about the making of this film,” he said.

Helmed by Shiva Nirvana, Kushi will be Samantha and Vijay’s second project together after Mahanati.
