Actor Bala has long been entangled in controversies and they persist to this day. Months after his arrest on charges of outraging a woman’s modesty — following a complaint from his ex-wife, singer-composer Amritha Suressh — another one of his former partners, Dr Elizabeth Udayan, has come forward levelling serious allegations against the Malayalam actor. In detailed social media posts, she claimed that he raped her and that she once attempted suicide due to his harassment.
Elizabeth recently took to Facebook to share a screenshot of a comment on one of Bala and his current wife Kokila’s YouTube interviews. In a detailed response, she addressed allegations from a netizen who claimed that Bala had been “sexually lured” by her when he was her patient. The commenter also suggested that Bala could have her medical license revoked if he chose to. In response, Elizabeth challenged him to do so. Revealing that they first connected through Facebook, she stated that she possesses messages and voice recordings of Bala communicating with other women while they were together.
Expressing disbelief at how he was able to remarry again, she alleged that Bala had tied a wedding chain around her neck in the presence of multiple guests, including police officers. She claimed that Bala and his mother, however, later told her that their marriage could only be officially registered after he turned 41 due to a “problem in his horoscope.” She further accused him of subjecting both her and her family to mental and physical harassment, adding that she continues to fear his gundas, who had previously threatened her. “If you continue this, I will file a case against you for cheating, hitting and blackmailing me,” she added.
Sharing the screenshot to Facebook, she noted: “He is threatening me telling me he will tell his past, he will leak our bedroom video. I had taken tablets for depression. But he didn’t tell me; he abused me, raped me and cheated many more girls. My hands are shaking typing this because of helplessness. He publicly said that I was infertile. He indirectly (said) I gave him the wrong medicine.”
Daring Bala and his online supporters to file a formal complaint against her if she had committed any wrongdoing, Elizabeth argued that this would be the appropriate course of action instead of orchestrating a smear campaign against her. She also emphasised that, unlike Bala, she lacked the financial resources for PR campaigns or the political and influential backing that he enjoys. She further alleged: “Once ur police in Chennai threatened me even one police officer from Kerala called my parents to take ur daughter home after raping me and i gone for suicide attempt , ur telling i am not ur wife na so without my consent whatever u do is rape i think. (sic)”
Meanwhile, the actor’s ex-wife Amritha Suressh has also accused Bala of submitting fraudulent documents in court regarding their divorce case, OnManorama reported. She alleged that he forged her signature and committed fraud concerning their daughter’s insurance.
“I have not asked for insurance amount, this case is due to document forgery (fake documents) and attempted fraud of court documents with my fake signature. I have never said I want money anywhere. Stop this cyber attack against me again by distracting things through PR work,” she wrote on Facebook.
