Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is looking forward to the release of his third directorial film, Animal. Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, the film explores the complicated relationship between a father and son. The trailer of the film has intrigued the audience, leaving them excited for it. Ranbir’s turn as a devoted son who can go to any length to protect his father is garnering a lot of praise. Vanga also recently spoke highly of the actor.

Vanga, who was at Animal’s pre-release event in Hyderabad on Monday, shared how he hasn’t met anyone like Ranbir before. Praising him for his acting skills, the filmmaker said he sometimes feels like touching his feet.

“Ranbir might be younger to me but when I see him performing, I feel like touching his feet and taking his blessings. I haven’t seen anyone with so much patience,” Vanga shared.

Animal is over three hours long but Vanga is confident Ranbir’s performance will keep the audience thoroughly entertained and engaged. He had said in an earlier interview with The Hindu, “The first cut of Animal was 3 hours 45 or 46 minutes. I chopped till 3:21. I have seen the film multiple times and it is an engaging film. Ranbir is a great performer and will not let the audience relax for a second.”

The film, scheduled to hit the theatres on December 1, also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles. It will be facing a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal-led Sam Bahadur. But, looking at the advance booking trends, Animal is surging ahead of the Meghna Gulzar film. Sam Bahadur explores the life of Sam Manekshaw, and his journey as the first Indian Army officer promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
