CBSE Aryabhata Maths Ganit Challenge 2019: A total of seven lakh seventy-one thousand two hundred and fourteen (7,71,214) from schools across the country appeared in the CBSE mathematical competency assessment- Aryabhata Ganit Challenge 2019. The students of classes VIII to X appeared in the examination that has commenced from Monday, November 18, 2019.

The first stage of challenge will be conducted from November 18 to 22, 2019. “Seven lakh seventy-one thousand two hundred and fourteen (7,71,214) from 5,457 affiliated schools are participating in the first stage of Ganit Challenge to make it one of the largest joyful assessments in the country,” read the notification.

The final stage of the ganit challenge will be conducted on November 29, 2019. “Final stage of the Ganit Challenge will be held on 29th November 2019 wherein three top students from each registered school will take part in the computer-based test,” the notification mentioned.

The Aryabhata test will mainly focus on the extent to which children are able to apply mathematics to their daily life and it is aiming to promote joyful learning of Mathematics. “The ability to reason logically and present arguments in creative and convincing ways is a skill that is becoming increasingly important in today’s world. In mathematics, it is essential that students learn with proper reasoning and assumptions, they can arrive at results that they can fully trust to be true in a wide variety of real-life contexts,” the notification mentioned.
