NEET MDS 2025: Qualifying cut-off percentiles reduced, no change in ranks

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on August 14 reduced the qualifying cut-off percentile for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS). The qualifying cut off percentile is lowered by 19.863 percentile for each category – general, SC, ST, OBC and UR-PWD. 

NEET MDS was held on April 19. The results of the examination were declared on May 15, and the Dental Council of India (DCI) has announced June 30 as the deadline for completion of the mandatory internship.

There is no change in the NEET MDS 2025 rank as published in the NBEMS result dated May 15.

Now that the cut-off has been revised, more students will become eligible for admission to PG dental courses. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) which administers the counselling process of NEET MDS will be required to open the registration for NEET MDS 2025 counselling again.

NBEMS has asked the candidates to remain in touch with the website of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website – mcc.nic.in for latest information related to counselling. The NEET MDS counselling process is conducted for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while the remaining 50 per cent of seats are filled through state-level counselling conducted by respective authorities. Candidates must register and submit their preferred course and college choices within the specified deadlines to secure a seat.
