Students have to register for JEE Advanced from 10 am of April 30 till 5 pm of May 7. The JEE Advanced exam will be held on June 4. The JEE Advanced results will be announced on June 18 at 10 am.
Students are not allowed to carry anything inside the examination hall, except a transparent ball point pen, admit card and Aadhaar card. Transparent water bottles are also allowed in the exam hall. Mathematics was rated moderate on the different level. Weightage was given to chapters of Algebra and Calculus. In Calculus questions asked from Functions, Limits and Continuity, Application of Derivative, Definite Integrals, Area under curves and Differential Equations. In Algebra- Matrices, Permutation and Combination, Vectors, 3D Geometry had more than one question, Progressions, Statistics, Binomial Theorem, Mathematical Reasoning and Probability. In Co-ordinate Geometry- Parabola, Circles and Ellipse had mixed concept questions. Lengthy calculations were involved in both MCQs and Numerical Based.

The Joint Entrance Exam will be conducted in 13 languages. The languages are:- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
For each correct answer, the candidate will get 4 marks, for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted. For every unanswered question, student will get 0 mark.
The paper will have three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject will have two sections- Section A and B. Section will have 20 MCQs and section B will have questions whose answers have to be filled in as a numerical value. There will be 10 questions in section b out of which 5 need to be answered.

For evening shift- Students can enter the exam centre from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. The entry gates will be closed at 2:30 pm. The invigilator will give instructions from 2:30 pm to 2:50 pm. Students can log in to read the instructions at 2:50 pm. The exam will begin at 3 pm and conclude at 6 pm

Responding to a question in Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of State for Education, Subhas Sarkar said that since 2018, over 19,000 students belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories have dropped out of IITs, IIMs and centrally funded institutions. The NTA has concluded the morning shift of the JEE Main 2023 session 2 exam of April 13.
To qualify for JEE Advanced, engineering aspirants need to score between 250-360 marks to make the cut. The higher the score, the greater the percentile and rank and only the top candidates will be eligible to compete for a seat in the coveted IIT institutions.

The Delhi government will offer free Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) coaching to the students of Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS), Delhi Education Minister Atishi said.
“DMVS has all the advantages of a physical institution but is virtual and is affiliated with DBSE. Today, students from 13 states and Union Territories, including Delhi, are studying here, and this year our focus is to expand its reach. Our goal is to ensure that quality education is easily available to everyone, regardless of their location,” she said.
The Education Ministry has said that it is not considering any proposal for a one-time relaxation in criteria for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2023.
“After due verification, the affected candidates were allowed to appear in re-examinations held on June 29, 2022 (Shift-2) and June 30, 2022 (Shift-1) for Session-1 and on July 30, 2022 (Shift-1) for Session-2. Moreover, the candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 can appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 examination.
“For the school leaving batch of 2020, the JEE (Main) examination was conducted two times in 2020, four times in 2021 and two times in 2022 giving them sufficient opportunities to take the JEE(Main) examination,” Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar informed Lok Sabha in a written response.
