CTET 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the examination date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024. The exam has now been preponed to December 14.
Earlier, the Board had scheduled the examination date to be December 1, which was then postponed to December 15 (Sunday).
A September 20 notification had stated that in case the number of candidates is higher in any city, the exam may also be conducted on December 14.
The decision to prepone CTET December 2024 exam has been taken to avoid clash with other exams. “As per the information received from various candidates, few competitive examinations are scheduled to be held in some states/union territories on 15 December 2024 (Sunday). Hence, keeping in view the interest of the candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on 14th December 2024 (Saturday). In case number of candidates is more in any city, the exam may also be conducted on 15th December, 2024 (Sunday),” the official notification stated.
The examination will be conducted across 136 cities in the country.
CBSE has started the online application process from September 17 with the last date for submitting the online application October 16 up to 11:59 pm.
In order to be eligible for the CTET 2024 December session, a candidate must be an Indian citizen, and at least 18-year-old, and have a minimum of 50 per cent marks in senior secondary or graduation, depending on the subject they are applying for.
