CSIR UGC NET June 2025 Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the results of the Joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 for the June session on Wednesday, August 20. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access and download their scorecards from the official website — csirnet.nta.ac.in. The Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam, conducted on July 28, was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 218 cities nationwide.
The test was administered in two shifts and covered five subjects. Out of the 1,95,241 candidates who registered for the exam, a total of 1,47,732 candidates appeared. The CSIR UGC NET is a crucial qualifying examination for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professorship in Indian universities and colleges.
Candidates who appeared for the exam can now download their scorecards by visiting the official website logging in with their credentials, and clicking on the “Download Score Card” link. The CSIR UGC NET is a national-level eligibility test conducted to determine candidates’ qualification for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professorship in universities and colleges across India.
The Joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 examination witnessed gender-wise participation, as per data released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Of the total registered candidates, 1,14,339 were female, with 86,777 appearing for the exam.
Male candidates accounted for 80,894 registrations, out of which 60,950 appeared. Additionally, eight candidates from the third gender registered for the test, with five appearing on the exam day.
The Joint CSIR UGC NET 2025 examination saw varied participation across disciplines, with Life Sciences drawing the highest number of candidates—78,949 registered and 60,213 appearing.
Chemical Sciences followed with 43,313 registrations and 32,987 candidates appearing. Mathematical Sciences had 35,529 registered candidates, of which 26,644 appeared, while Physical Sciences recorded 30,345 registrations and 22,734 appearances.
The Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences category saw 7,105 registrations, with 5,154 candidates appearing for the test.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had released the provisional answer key and recorded responses on its official website from August 1 to August 3, 2025, inviting objections from candidates. After reviewing the submitted challenges, the final answer key was compiled and used for calculating the results.
