The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the in-house development of educational podcasts and digital content focusing on academic and counselling-related matters. According to an official statement, the content is being prepared to provide meaningful guidance, awareness and support to students, parents and schools. The board has also made these podcasts available on public platforms, including YouTube, so that they can reach a wider audience.
CBSE has stated that the introduction of podcasts and digital resources is intended to complement its existing academic and counselling support systems. By making such material available digitally, the board aims to create a flexible and accessible medium for disseminating information and advice related to academics, examinations, mental health, and student well-being.

Student involvement in content creation
To make the initiative more student-centric, CBSE has proposed to include student voices in the form of short video or audio interactions, testimonials and conversations. These contributions will be used across the board’s official podcasts, social media content and other digital communication channels. The board has highlighted that the inclusion of student perspectives will help create more relatable content and allow students to engage directly with wider educational discussions.
Nomination process for schools
In this regard, CBSE has asked affiliated schools to nominate students from Classes IX to XII who are articulate, confident and interested in participating in the content. The board has clarified that participation is entirely voluntary and will be subject to the written consent of both the students and their parents or guardians, routed through the concerned school.
Interested schools have been instructed to forward the names and short profiles of nominated students to CBSE using the Google form link provided in the circular. The submissions must be made within ten days from the date of issue of the notice. The board reiterated that this is an optional opportunity intended to give students a platform to express themselves, while also contributing to CBSE’s outreach and communication efforts.
