Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel finds time to visit a religious place whenever he is out on tour. On Sunday, Patel was in Maharashtra as part of the BJP’s Lok Sabha pravas programme. He visited Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga temple in Pune district and after performing the rituals at the shrine, he undertook a cleanliness drive at the temple complex.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) also seems to widen its catchment area in electoral politics. RJD leader and Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and party MP Manoj Jha were in Kerala last month to attend a programme in memory of late Virendra Kumar, a parliamentarian and former state president of Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD). The RJD wants the LJD to merge with it, and Yadav spent a good time discussing the same with the state leaders. But the ruling CPIM, a friendly party of the RJD, wants the LJD to join Janata Dal-Secular that has a representation in the LDF government in Kerala.
